Pros

Branches local to most of Kitsap

Cons

Pay and benefits are much less appealing compared to other institutions. Work outside of business hours is expected, and, in many cases, not compensated. Nepotism and age discrimination are rampant. This in turn is detrimental to the organization. The bank's own internal employee surveys consistently rate "feeling valued" as an extremely low point. There is an easy fix for that and it is not referring to staff as "family." Kitsap Bank has been acquired by Heritage Bank and I can only hope that Heritage treats and values their employees far better than Kitsap ever has.

Pros

The tasks you learn look great on a resume when looking to advance your career. You learn SO much because you are doing so much. Time passes by very fast because you are so busy.

Cons

The pay is HORRIBLE for all you have to do. You are not only doing back office work, you are also the call center for the entire bank, the support for branches who don’t know what they are doing, and everything in between. We should be making way more than we do.
