Compensation (especially in this market!) is nothing special; without the bonus/equity incentives (with a three-year vestment at that), I'd have earned less than I was earning 20 years ago. It feels like a talented startup environment coupled with unmanaged but aggressive growth alongside a "good old boys'" club in which the majority of the executives came from the same company at the same time creates a bit of a clique feeling. Office attendance mandate went into effect while I was there; I was one of three employees exempt. That added to the clique feeling. The company has seen TREMENDOUS growth, and are taking actions (or were at the time of my departure) to stay on track to continue growing at that rate. However, they refuse to compromise on pace or talent. Many successful startups attempt to burn the candle at both ends in this fashion and it ends up being just a mess of pointed fingers as profits plummet and investors run screaming from the fire. The BEST thing this company could do (LAST YEAR) is bring in a high-profile, proven-talent management consultant, and do every last thing they say.

Toxic C-Suite Executives, no respect for work/life balance, mistakes are considered unforgivable, no accountability on bad managers and executives. Incredible lack of diversity in leadership and staff.
