Management is literally out to get you if you step 1 toe out of line or question their vision. The owners have 0 IT experience and have hired yes-men to run that department. It's even worse because the managers also have fragile egos. They claim to be open to feedback, but when you have a private feedback conversation, or even just suggest ways to improve our processes, they chew you out and tell you "we're moving in a different direction" and "you dont know anything." You can get fired after 3 years with 0 disciplinary action or warnings just because management doesnt like you, they dont like a former colleague that you're friends with, or for calling out due to medical issues that they were made aware of prior to hiring. These things all happened within the span of 2 months to other former employees.
Management will also deliberately set you up to fail, overloading your plate with a ton of difficult tickets, many out of your skill level, and refuse to offer you assistance or help, just so they have an excuse to fire you. They'll instruct the senior level techs not to help you if you ask, and to just let you drown.
They will also fabricate reasons to write you up or get you in trouble, and refuse to allow you to prove you'd innocence. They have cameras and microphones active 24/7 and are being actively observed, not to protect their equipment, but to explicitly spy and micro-manage their employees.
And yet, if your last name is Olson, you can get away with rape threats/jokes and sexual harassment, or really anything else. Nepotism is real at this place.
If you're considering getting a job here, just don't. You'll be miserable and regret taking this job. We had someone start and quit within a month, telling the MIT engineering manager that this was the most toxic place with the most toxic management he's ever worked for, and he'd rather be jobless than work for them.
