      Pros

      Neat being on the water, on a large boat, crossing Lake Michigan. They seem to have a hard time finding people to work on the boat. I wonder why?

      Cons

      Long days, hard work, with pay just above minimum wage. Some Officers have little care for crew, and crew have little recourse. Short season and then you have to find other employment to cover off season. Sometimes it seems like they shouldn't sail because of rough weather. Its no fun cleaning up passenger's vomit. Career advancement is non existent. No one talks about water based career advancement.

      Pros

      You can go on boat rides on Lake Michigan

      Cons

      Hostile superiors. The captains try to run the ship like it's military, but none of them come close to rising to that level of competence and education. One captain has temper tantrums when he feels frustrated, which is a couple times a week, and shouts profanity. Pay is horrible, and management won't allow the ship cafeteria crew to keep tips.

      A job. Great co-workers.

      Cons

      No full-time hours. Ridiculous policies, pay is well below it should be for the hours/stress. Management stalks you and listens to nit-pick everything.
