Pros

Some attempts at providing more dedicated development opportunities to younger surveyors although due to the calibre of the young talent in general, this is a bit of a farce. HR try hard to deliver staff retention and development however they are up against a board who do not value their input

Cons

Poor leadership Middle management - uninspired Lacking in meaningful strategy Quality of work/clients is poor Lad culture/second hand car dealer approach National firm but operates like a tin pot regional outfit Being told by one of the board that we were just a number - does wonders for staff retention! Poor reputation in the local professional market

Toxic company with no progression for hard work

5:30 finish times severely unpaid compared against the market overloaded with work with no compensation management are incompetant zero communication between surveyors and support staff makes doing your job a literal nightmare you are held accountable from your first day and will not be trained well if at all favoritism and non merit based attitude from management upper management are not too intelligent high staff turnover and condescending attitude from co workers and management If you like being treated like a number and nothing more this is the place for you lies from senior management about hiring internally to doing the exact opposite moronic and unprofessional lad culture basically if you are a smart person this is no place for you to grow

Without anything more specific, it's difficult to respond in detail, but we would encourage you to email us with more details, which will allow us to look into the specifics of your experience working with us - if you email us at glassdoor@lsh.co.uk, we will look into this. In general terms, we offer a full training curriculum, which can be accessed either to support employees in specific roles or for general personal development. It's disappointing that you felt there was a lack of communication, but this does not reflect our experience across the organisation, where communication between surveyors and support staff is generally felt to be working well. We offer opportunities for progression, and all employees are encouraged to look at internal vacancies; we also offer a promotion process which is open to fee earners and support staff. Our core office hours are 9.00-17.30 which are fairly standard working hours for many businesses.
