Pros

At this point, I can’t think any.

Cons

You’re not valued as a person. During my time here I met maybe 3/4 GMs... all got fired for no reason apparently. You don’t matter to anyone here, you’re replaceable. Management has their favorites and they’ll do anything to cover up for them... anything. During my time here I questioned if I was contributing to the way they were hurting people by just simply tossing them and I went against my better judgment and continued my employment with these people. I was let go and the reasoning was “There is no reason, the owner knows your name for SOME reason and just doesn’t want you here” I couldn’t wrap my mind around it but now I realize they have no morals. They may be a huge company but they’re not worth anything to me.

Pros

Nice opportunity for unscrupulous people to make a decent living without having to do hard labor. Anyone willing to screw people over with a smile on their face can be a car salesman.

Cons

I won't get into detail about the shady aspects of car sales (dishonest financing, psychological manipulation, etc) because that's across the board for all dealerships. What sets Larson apart is the fact that they really don't care about their employees. From the very top of the chain, Bob Larson engenders a company attitude of, "if you're not making me enough money, find another job" ,,, During the time I worked there, I saw people who gave their lives to the company get fired on a whim for having a bad month, people who had been with the company for decades had been laid off with no warning, and people's paychecks mysteriously getting "lost" or docked tremendous amounts of cash - it's not a nice place to work.
