Pros
They offer a fair wage if you're salaried but not if you are hourly.
Cons
LEI puts on a front as a company that cares about community, their employees & their customers, but they do not. The company culture is toxic and a cross between Twilight Zone & Jerry Springer. There is lack of trust, bullying, actual physical fighting, a lack of productivity, high stress, confusion and constant chaos. Management operates with fear and intimidation. LEI is the most unethical company I've ever worked for, and they do not care about their employees nor their customers. Along with others, I was continuously ignored & treated with disrespect by upper management. I was hired for a position but then given a different role after being hired. Over 30 people left the company within a year. Co-workers were threatened to have their pay DECREASED, saying they were not doing their job. The company has many community events but the employees always actually sponsor the occasions supplying the food. Hourly employees were given a weekly gas allowance during '22 but then had to pay 1/2 of it back as deduction during '23. The company is not concerned with work-life balance. The President watches every car that drives by his window of the front & accounts for everyone. Work hours say one thing, but LEI wants you to be there from 6:30am to 4:30pm- preferably 6am. And, they would like you to work after hours and weekends too, whether you are hourly or salary. Accidents including falls from ladders on top of buildings are not being reported to OSHA. An employee had a heart attack on site & others had stress-related health issues. Employees are presented with unethical business decisions by upper management. There is no training nor tenure with any middle management. And, no standards or procedures. Don't be fooled by by the dog & pony show in the interview...it's a farse. If you're reading this because you are considering taking a position with LEI, then DON'T! Know that you WILL regret it if you do. When someone gives notice they are leaving, the remaining employees always say, "please take me with you!"
