Toxic leadership

Pros

Great people to work with, except the CEO.

Cons

Working under for this CEO has been a challenging experience. His leadership style is marked by anger and a lack of respect for employees, creating a toxic work environment. Communication is poor, and his management skills are severely lacking; he often resorts to blame instead of providing constructive feedback. Additionally, his greed is evident in decision-making, prioritizing profits over employee welfare. This has led to low morale and high turnover. If you're considering a position here, be prepared for a stressful atmosphere where hard work is rarely recognized and often goes unappreciated. The work-life balance here is nearly non-existent. The management's refusal to allow remote work creates unnecessary stress and limits flexibility, making it hard to manage personal commitments. This inflexible approach to work arrangements leads to burnout among employees. The focus seems to be solely on productivity without considering employee well-being. If you're looking for a supportive work environment that values your time, this isn't the place for you.

Thanks for your sharing your experience, good and bad. Negative feedback is just as valuable as positive because we are always working to improve! First, it’s great to hear that you like our product and feel the tech team is smart and capable—those are valuable elements and I imagine a big part of what’s keeping you engaged. But your concerns seem directly related to support, openness and respect—some of Linqia’s core values--and we take them seriously. We are proud to be building a successful company with a foundation that we hope is based on the collaboration of people who enjoy coming to work each day to do awesome, impactful things. As a fairly new employee who is responsible for hiring and other people-related issues, I am really concerned to hear that these values aren't being felt by everyone on the team. Your feedback is a top priority for me and our founders and I will work each day to break through the barriers you outlined with the goal that everyone at Linqia feels heard, respected and appreciated. You and what you contribute to Linqia are incredibly valued and our leaders realize that a great product cannot be realized without a talented, dedicated and happy team. You ARE Linqia! Our leaders and I are here to talk if you’re open to it and hope you’ll give us the chance to discuss your concerns and needs in person, so we can try to win back your trust. Thank you again.

Pros

Get to work with some amazing people!

Cons

It becomes immediately apparent during onboarding, and even more so afterward, that the control of this company rests entirely in the hands of the CEO. In all my years, I’ve never encountered a company where the CEO exhibits such a lack of teamwork, and unfortunately, this behavior trickles down through management, creating a culture that resembles a dictatorship. Directors and department heads fail to invest the necessary time and effort to properly train their teams. To be candid, this company operates in disarray, and I would strongly advise against subjecting yourself to the stress of working here. It’s clear that those in charge lack a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of the influencer marketing industry. Quite frankly, it defies logic.
