Pros
Email is still the #1 channel for most ecommerce companies in terms of ROI and LiveIntent has a unique position by showing display ads within this environment (in newsletters). Very little to no bot traffic at all which is important. Offsite to NY is fun.
Cons
The technology is very poor and outsourced to Russia. The targeting is non-existent pretty much spray and pray. The model seems not scalable as they are constrained to the emails that are being sent out. Convincing new agencies and clients has been a challenge cause not every planner is keen to buy ads within Emails - especially when they're not very well targeted. The culture is a nightmare. Lots of Hire & Fire. The senior management must be the biggest team I've ever seen in any adtech/martech company - yet the company isn't that big... Stay away from companies with bad tech AND bad culture.
