      Pros

      The work was challenging and fun.

      Cons

      Yifan and Adam, the cofounders, lied to us about the financial status not even a month before the mass layoff of nearly 70% of the staff. They stopped rent payments for landlords. The future of this company is bleak and encourage any applicants to look at reviews on google, articles online and the reddit page of this company. Loftium may be able to come out of this pandemic, but their reputation will be forever tarnished. There were multiple departures from key members of the team prior to the mass layoff which speaks to the leadership of the founders.

      Enjoyable coworkers, lots of communal drive, fun office environment, cool projects that would pop up

      Cons

      To say leadership is/was lacking is an understatement. CEO actively told people she did not want to lead, and did not put people in place to lead on her behalf. No upward mobility. Preached transparency but were often misdirecting their own employees. Ironically told, prior to the mass layoff via Zoom, that "we all will be judged on the way that we react to this crisis" --> fast forward to today: 75% of company laid off on a Monday morning Zoom call, company now won't pay landlords.

      Pros

      The projects and work is really fun and interesting. The premise of helping small landlords and the working class was fulfilling .

      Cons

      They are either dishonest or really they are incompetent. They misrepresented the financial opportunity to work there. Told me the performance of current reps was much higher than it actually was. CEO told staff they had a 6 month run way. Yet the moment Coivid 19 hit they laid off the staff. Constantly switched up commission structure. Laid off most of the staff with just 2 weeks pay. Stopped paying any rent towards customers leaving my reputation tarnished.
