Pros

The staff is very friendly for the most part and they do try to cultivate a familiar atmosphere.

Cons

They can’t afford to pay competitive wages. Good luck trying to get a raise or promotion from this company. They barely acknowledge the work that is done by their public programs staff. It is a thankless job that will have you standing out in the cold for hours without breaks or hazard pay while guests scream at you. I spent two years with this company the first year was okay, the second year they changed management with little warning and everything went downhill. They lost most of the staff in this department and all of the truly talented people wised up and got out while they could.

Cons

Ridiculous low pay compared to other tour guide/museum educator positions Upper management does not care about you Zero COVID safety or protocols Horrible hours and working conditions (outside) No room for advancement or career growth Cost of living in Flagstaff is so high, you can’t afford to live in town with just this job
