      More honesty, less ego

      Pros

      The company has always been fairly small. It has made it easier to get to know everyone that works in the Madison area.

      Cons

      Management is hush-hush about even the smallest of things. This makes doing your job very difficult, if not impossible, at times. The management's egos run wild. They buy fancy stuff they don't need while the equipment people need to get the job done gets overlooked. For being a small company, the owner is nothing more than an enigma. In the years that I worked there, most people say they couldn't even recognize him if they bumped into him.

      MPI doesn't support its employees

      Pros

      I was assigned to a couple of nice clients and worked with a FEW good officers but most are not good.

      Cons

      Schedules change. Office people are rude to the line officers. Management is out of touch. Officers are overworked because co-workers do not show up for their shifts.

      Pros

      I was paid for the hours I worked.

      Cons

      Supervisors think they are still in the military and treat employees as if they were. I didnt want to be in the army or navy. Managers scream at officers, etc. Expected to work outside at a shopping mall in the weather (WI) without a company car, had to patrol in my own and in December/January used my gas to keep warm.
