Pros

Free lunch, travel stipend for initial training week.

Cons

Very much an “old boys club”. The marketing and department managers will call you constantly. Not much training before you are thrown to the wolves, limited assistance when needed. A couple of upper management guys are very misogynistic and clearly don’t like hearing a woman’s opinion. I had great experience when I started to work for this company and was highly motivated/ had innovative ideas to bring to the table and was immediately shot down. I told my boss that my learning style was slightly different and suggested a way that I might learn better, he told me that I was wrong and he was “very intelligent because he had a degree”…ummm ok? I have a wonderful job now that appreciates me and I am now an executive. I just want people to know that there are better places out there that will actually appreciate them.

Pros

They bought us lunch every other week and there was a gym we could use.

Cons

Horrible leadership- there never seemed to be real leadership in the organization. Promotions were based on who you were friends with or who liked you. It was obvious when there were tensions between upper management and it affected the work environment. The micromanagement of employees was overwhelming. Decisions were made without consulting those in the role, which caused more conflict and a ton of unnecessary work. Due to the amount of unnecessary work thrown on employees everyday there was mandatory overtime to finish things. Racism was rampant in the organization as well. Underrepresented populations were never given a chance to advance and were strung along like they would one day be promoted, but when there was a position available it would go to someone (white) who had only been there for a few months and who wasn't even good at their job. Pete is tone-deaf to the struggles of his employees. I only spoke to him once and all he did was tell a story about an expensive car he bought for his dad while on vacation. Apparently he was at the office everyday, but I never saw him.
