Pros

- No need to be creative - No objective settings and annual reviews - Performance is measured greatly on physical presence, ability to be obedient, not actual deliverables. - There are no employee-to-employee disputes as they are all united on sharing a common aggressor CXO

Cons

- leadership is not transparent during interview about company culture - company culture is a strict micromanagement and creativity suppression - leadership does not trust anyone - rules that make the job harder to do - camera surveillance to control employees compliance, not for their safety - 50% HR does not care about employees - insufficient ventilation on manufacturing floor leads to accumulation of odors and dust substances in the air - insufficient dining area; employees eat lunch in their cars - insensitive lay offs on spot, no thanks, no severance, no bridging benefits, must leave premises in minutes.

Pros

Are you kidding? This is the worst position I've ever held.

Cons

This place defines micro-management. If you like working under video surveillance, Having EVERYTHING you do questioned. Like to be told your wrong. Like to be told, "We don't pay you to think." Like having no process or manufacturing documents to work with. Like working ten hour days (Wonderful for the home life). Like dreading to go to work because you have no satisfaction for a job well done. Like to be treated like a tool instead of a human. Like having management buck your every suggestion (Your thoughts aren't even considered just immediately discounted as drivel). If you like not being trusted and having your integrity questioned. Then apply to work here.

Pros

The building is new, Most of the workers, (You know, the ones who actually do the work?) are awesome, friendly people with the occasional odd ball. We are American made product. Opportunities for advancement (With repercussions) After thinking about more positive things to say, let's just move on to the Cons.

Cons

It takes a bit of time, but it won't take long for anyone to understand that they are in a box that is tightly controlled by a person who's on an ego trip. That ego belongs mostly to the CEO and extends outward a fair distance. Because of this big headed approach to his employee's, he is in the back of the line on the popularity list. while he has his favorites, he doesn't hesitate to make some employee's grovel at his feet......His obsessive use of video cameras to watch his employees is a sure sign of his insecurities. This person clearly doesn't understand that without the workers who actually produce and test his product and ship it to his costumers, he would most likely just be another engineer with a firm that controls him. This person and only this person is the top reason I wouldn't recommend Magna Power as a prospective employment option. In fact, as much as I would like to, I can't even recommend the products! There is NO quality control here to speak of. Other Cons would include...Low pay for skilled workers, Almost no skilled management per department. Department heads have no part in the interview process when hiring, and have absolutely no power when in terminating an employee within their own department. Whenever a company has a permanent HELP WANTED sign embedded in their company Logo sign in front of their building, take caution.......That is a sign that you may NOT want to apply here!
