Many negatives including; - Very high staff turn over (with the most talented and motivated people leaving, and the more obedient and problematic staff staying long term). The company deals largely in client projects so regularly has to let staff go as things finish. This creates a constant tense atmosphere as people feel they always have 1 foot out the door. Several recent projects have ended abruptly. - Very low salaries with very low increases and little chance for promotion as there is no official structure in place for career progression. - There are a lot of miserable people who feel trapped there because there are not many rival industries like it based in Amsterdam so if you want to leave it is extremely hard to find similar work. These people contribute negatively to their teams as they are just there to get paid and leave. - Despite the company being 70% female the upper tier is largely male and there are multiple cases of sexist remarks, questions and touching. Younger women and interns receive the majority of this and do not trust HR and management to listen and act appropriately. - Unsure what the future holds for the brand especially as Marcel is not very involved anymore.

Interns are not paid at all, they do the groceries every day, going out with the car to pick up something, they cook the lunch for the employees and barely design.The salary is not that amazing, extra hours not paid, A lot of Creative Directors around, and each one has a different vision, and want to work/give advice in almost every project they see. They use to offer a present when someone is leaving, although if you were working there for a long period (> than 1 1/2 year) you receive a one minute sculpture by Marcel Wanders, and there were people than just been there doing a internship of 3 months and receive it with a lot of smiles and applauses from the management team, and in the other hand there were people working there for more than a year and just received a book. This creates a tension that is easily visible, and an unbalance rule that the management team is responsible for. And if they act with "preferences" with a simple goodbye present for sure they will act unbalance for other important issues, depending the people. And there are people there that just want to feed their ego, and other that act slightly "fake" i would say around the management team in order to step up in the carreer.
