Cons
Working here for many years saw my mental health decline rapidly. You are left to work alone Could be starting at 9am to recieve a phone call at 7 to tell you to go cover a branch 15 miles away. Have to close the shop just to use the toilet because you are alone. Area team broadcast on WhatsApp, never visit the staff, and when they do they spend an hour picking out all the things you are doing wrong. Absolutely no room for progression in this company; ‘branch manager’ is a myth when it’s about a 50p increase per hour. If you imagine a house built with cardboard - but in a business sense, max Spielmann as a business is being held up by cardboard. I could say so much more. I’m sorry to anyone who works here and genuinely believes there aren’t any better jobs out there, I’d go as far to say it’s cultish. They get in your head and think timpson is this great company with great benefits when actually they offer the bare minimum!
