Thank you for getting in touch about this. I must say that I am shocked by this feedback and I can confidently say I do not tolerate abuse of any kind at Meet. Transparency and integrity are incredibly important to me as a leader and I would always take allegations of this kind very seriously. I would urge you to reach out to me directly about your concerns, or if you feel more comfortable reach out to our Head of People. This is a serious claim, so it’s important to me that I can follow up on and understand what you think has happened. Thank you again for bringing this to my attention, Hannah CEO

Pros

- Clear promotion structure and transparency around salary bandings for each role - Good, structured training programme - Regular performance reviews and appraisals throughout the year - Fun social events - Free breakfast on Monday

Cons

- Lack of ethnic diversity across the business and in the leadership team. - Microaggressions often occurred (and were targeted at people of colour) - Their stance and social media posts on Diversity and Inclusion are tokenistic and performative. They lack authenticity and do not provide a safe space for their staff from underrepresented and marginalised communities. - Unrealistic KPI targets and expectations - No work-life balance or working from home flexibility (unless you're a senior) - Catty environment; there was a lot of gossiping and bad-mouthing of staff, and this also came from senior leadership - Women and people of colour were held to much higher standards in comparison to their white counterparts and often made examples of/let go in a cruel 'out the back door' way - They'd encourage staff to fill out employee engagement, benefit surveys etc. and then never provide any results, feedback or deliverable actions taken - Micromanagement culture - Imbalance between expectations of different desks and markets, and lack of consideration for differences between average fee - Not open or progressive about employee psychological health and wellbeing. If your mental health was suffering, they'd find a way to remove you from the company and blame you for bringing the team down, rather than address and provide support - Culture of favouritism towards top billers and employees who had been with the company for many years - Toxic culture (promoting excessive drinking, bad-mouthing and becoming romantically involved with your colleagues) with no consideration to your life/commitments outside of work.

Pros

- Good social vibe, everyone is always up for a drink and the majority are very welcoming. - Company invests a lot in new technology and tools to make your job easier - At least when I first joined there was a couple of experienced recruiters around, who helped with training and mentorship, this helped a lot especially when you have no experience in recruitment. - Really good commission structure, you can earn alot of money here - Loads of incentives and team nights out - Nice office and location.

Cons

- Immature culture and even bullying in plain daylight. - Although some days you could hear a pin drop on the sales floor, they still manage to keep sort of a "wolf of wall street" vibe to the office, where if you move from your chair before 6pm it's "frowned upon" although you're contracted to work less. In fact some days you are encouraged to work even later. - Targets are ridiculously high and as a resourcer or consultant, you'd be on the same incentive targets as a Lead. Promotion targets on perm, unless you're on a lucky streak, forget about it. - Various cliquey groups and favoritism. If you're not in on it, expect to be mocked and not just by consultants but by management too. - At times even when you decided to go with the "work hard and play hard" motto, you're still not recognized.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all feedback and we take it seriously as we’re always striving to do better. However, I don’t feel this is a fair representation of our business. What concerns me most is your mention of bullying as this is not something we tolerate at Meet. Culture is some thing we pride ourselves on and we actively engage the whole business to find ways of improving it. Our business is thriving, growing, and performing at the best level it's ever been and we had more promotions last year than ever before. For any new hires or potential talent looking at this review, we urge you to see our culture and the benefits first hand. Unfortunately we can’t please everyone and we apologise if we’ve made mistakes in the past (doesn’t everyone). Good luck in the future, Paul
