I worked at Midwestern State part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Terrific people to work with, employees, faculty and students.
Lots of freedom to be creative with content production and very clear outlines of what's expected for equipment setup, tear down, maintenance and testing.
You are made aware in the beginning that this position does not lead to a career.

    Cons

Limited full-time slots in the broadcast department; nowhere to move up to

    Advice to Management

No advice to be given, this was a great position that suited me well for years.

I have been working at Midwestern State part-time

    Pros

    Student friendly working environment
Staff is always willing to help

    Cons

As a student, one is allowed to work at most 20 hrs

    Advice to Management

I honestly would not change anything. The fact that I would like to work more then 20 hrs are far beyond management's only reach

I worked at Midwestern State full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule but face time required
Highly customizable classes-choose content of your choice to teach

    Cons

Highly political work environment with a small town mentality.

Did not have a good experience
    Not a forward looking university

    Advice to Management

Bring the university current instead of far behind of field. New marketing of "MSU Texas" does not count as moving the university forward. Stuck in a time warp 20 years ago. Low turnover is a hindrance rather than an asset
