Mackinac Island is a beautiful location.
Cons
No benefits for American staff. Preferential treatment to visa workers (manager and supervisor roles withheld from US applicants) . You are expected to share public restrooms and showers with 50+ other staff members, without access to drinkable water in housing units. Housing is in ground - meaning no windows or access to outside air. No privacy as security will come to your housing if you do not show up for work. Paid minimum wage and then it all goes to substandard housing costs and inedible food in cafeteria with no option to opt out or feed yourself. Complaints aren’t taken serious and will end up in losing your job.
