As a contractor most staff employees look at you like a disease. As a contractor you will not have sick days, the benefits offered are over priced and the only holidays you'll be paid for are Christmas and New Years day. Also the studio has some strange WB policy where they can't technically give you any free swag however they do "unofficially" through your third party recruiter which will be either "Yoh" or "Volt". That being said there's sadly an invisible line drawn between the staffers and the contractors. Most of the staffers have been with the studio from the beginning and unless they die you'll never step into a supervising role...even in death there's no certainty as they resurrect their dead and keep them on as staff. Those who have faithfully served in both life and death do so out of necessity and not always out of skill or experience.

Politics, its not what you know it's who you know. Highly aggressive, micromanagement is encouraged. Project management, development processes, communication and organisation is awful. Tribal Knowledge is king, nothing is documented, training is a joke or non existent. Reviews are not taken seriously and are based on your social standing, not the work you do. The highly competent people are driven out or quickly beaten down. Company parties allow you to bring a guest, guest is not allowed to eat the food and has to pay for their own drinks. I can understand the drinks but not allowed to eat the food?
