Pros

CEO and other managerial people at top are good hearted people. You need to show your good work and you will be appreciated. You can ask for guidance anytime. If you think you are a co owner, you will be less but a co owner.

Cons

Low pay. One big con is/was that CEO listens to those who are outspoken. This is also proportional to the loudness. People easily manipulate him( what I don't know is if he managed to see this blind spot yet - by yet I mean the hard way). And because most of the decisions are kept under them many decision are not always correct. The highest management has larger trust ratio on people who stay longest to the company(illogical but understandable). They also need to see through the politics and local comfort of senior people(not all but many) for which they manipulate workforce.

Dear Xoolyan, Thanks for taking time to review about us. Thanks for recognizing our good heart and that we appreciate your good work. This is very important for someone to gain satisfaction in a career. Also thanks for highlighting the guidance part. Woohoo! I am jumping in joy. Re: Cons From the outside it might look like I am listening to those who speak out - I believe what in Jerry Weinberg said, "10% is what people say, rest is music". I have been trained by people like Jerry to listen to more than what is being said through body language. Also the day I am being manipulated - I have failed. I keep an unbiased opinion on anything and it has taken me several years to practice this. So thanks for making me write about this, here in Glassdoor. I would love to see you in Moolya again as you know a few people have returned and experience better than what you did in the past. Best wishes to you. The guidance and support to you shall continue. Once a Moolyan - forever a Moolyan.

Pros

Teams : There are/were some great pals out there. People who "love / pretend they love" testing and constantly read to "learn more/ I don't know do what " about it. You will see most of them "enjoying/ pretending to enjoy" the work they do Work- Life balance : It depends which team and project you are in. The management philosophy is - when you love what you do then it becomes your life. That said; its relatively better then most of the MNCs out there. Values and teamwork : They love teamwork and encourage forging professional relationships. They have a strong belief in exploratory/ manual/ brainual testing. It can help you grow professionally and personally. Culture and Fun activities : If you're working at moolya office then you will see various initiatives by HR. Some ardent colleagues also maintain fun and laughter in office (which sometimes looks awesome because of few desperate followers)

Cons

If you are good at work and a charmer then you gonna love it. If you are just the former then you gonna like it and complain as well. If you are none then its going to be tough for you. So here are cons : A charmer and bad techie wins over hard work most of the times whereas a good techie hardly gets his/ her share of accolades. The same is reflected in the appraisals and promotions. Politics plays vital role in allocation of projects. It starts right from lead to top level. Being in good books of senior guys takes precedence; If you ignore that then you might get in trouble. Invest wisely ;)

Dear Whoever, Many thanks for taking time to write to us your candid feedback. None of us want to be in bad culture. Culture is caused by people and not set by management. It is the management duty to get the right people who contribute positively to the culture. It is becoming increasingly clear that our hiring standards are improving and we are getting great positive people who improve the goodness of the culture. Our culture is changing in a lot of good ways. We are excited great things are happening in Moolya and would like to keep this momentum going. We would love to see you hear from our current employees on how good things are turning up to be. Regards, Founder

Hey there, There are quite a number of people who are completing 6 years, 5 years and 4 years in Moolya. If we did what you are saying then how are people completing those many years in Moolya? As a practice we don't want to fire anyone if their performance drops. We want to help them do better. All of us including me, as humans, will do good sometimes and not so good other times. We will fire people if they did something unethical. This is because they will sink the boat and it jeopardizes the good value others are creating. We don't treat humans as resources. They are not throware material. They are humans. They need a chance. If a chance doesn't help - we tell them that this place doesn't seem to be suitable for them. When someone is fired - their emotion is too high that logic doesn't appeal them for long time. I was fired in Motorola in 2005-2006. Properly fired because according to them I wasn't doing my job. I didn't understand their logic for firing. For a month - my emotion was high and I drank with a bit of anger. After I got back to my senses - I felt the best thing to have happened to me is that. The reason I am an entrepreneur today is because they showed me the courage I had to face any hard professional thing. So, I hope you will get back to your senses (if you were fired - because I can't exactly relate to this in any recent past) - I wish you become an entrepreneur. Also - one thing I want to tell you and others. I don't know if it is a real review or a fake review but certainly a lot of talented people are being attracted by looking at how much care we are putting in our response. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to show who we truly are. I hope - whoever you are - you achieve the satisfaction and inner peace I have achieved professionally. Meanwhile if you want to ever work again in Moolya (and you have not done anything ethically wrong) - we are open to the possibility. The best people on earth are those who have let go of things.
