Pros

If you like basic warehouse and cleaning duties then there is something to like here

Cons

This was an awful experience from an abusive employer. I worked so hard for this company giving 200% only to be told it wasn't good enough. Management kept raising the expectations of productivity once or twice a month to the point where it was unachievable. I was doing four jobs whilst everyone else was doing one, or none, actually. Whilst I was working myself to death others often just stood around talking for an hour or two. I never did this once. It is such an insult as you are demonstrating you don't care. I wasn't even doing the advertised job. I was not a PC Build Technician at all, I was working as a warehouse worker and cleaner with a little bit of RMA testing. On top of that, I was fired when I had about 7 days left on my contract. Why? because I asked for help suggesting someone could chip in. I never complained once whilst working there. And the sneaky thing is, management made out from the beginning that they were such a nice place to work for. They were very convincing. I was so naive and so afraid of losing my job as it took me so long to get this one. I was head-hunted. My well-being and fairness were never considered and I was treated as a slave.

Pros

People who actually do work in this company are fun and nice. Strong game culture.

Cons

-VPs/Directors don't communicate enough with each other. -Always try to hire upper management from outside, instead of promoting internal people. Ironically, they don't often hire good people thru the sloppy interview process. -Upper management just talks and doesn't do stuff, yet takes most of the credit. -Upper management is relatively abusive to their employees. -High turnover rate because of above reasons and many other issues. Employees quit to find a healthier environment.

Pros

- Company is growing; they've gone from 30 something employees to over 100 in a few years - Room for internal promotion - CEO is fantastic! He makes it clear he cares about employee morale and opinions. Genuinely nice and approachable guy. - Most coworkers are very friendly and helpful

Cons

I would like to address the other review left yesterday (10/31/19) saying “employees still hold on to the past”. Most of my cons will give context on why we “hold on to the past”. I’m going to say “new upper management” a lot. This refers to senior level managers who have been with the company less than 1.5 years. I am calling them “new” because they were not really here to experience “the past”. - In the past, there was a low level manager that made a stupid mistake and upper management wanted to fire him. The CEO fought his hardest to keep them but ended up helping him find new work. Compare that to new upper management who decide to make a lower manager fire his entire department for “restructuring” purposes but will reassign him to spearhead the transition. The lower manager agrees and fires his department. A few weeks later they let go of that manager for no apparent reason in the middle of the transition, with no replacement. That really set the tone for us. Employees used to be valued, and now we’re treated as expendable. When they say “at will employment” it really is “at will”. - In the past, employees were rewarded for demonstrating our core values. We received gift cards if nominated by our peers. We did this for two years or so. In comes new upper management and we haven’t run this program again. There is no motivation for us to live the core values as our CEO wanted. - In the past we used to receive a lot more benefits. We would get snacks two to three times a week and have a lot of events. Since new upper management stepped in, snacks have been cut completely. There is maybe one event per month if we’re lucky, while we used to get two or three. While these benefits were small, they made employees happy. Cutting them dropped morale and was noticed by a lot of people. It’s pretty clear that whoever wrote that review is in “new upper management”. CEO brings up our low glassdoor ratings and we just so happen to receive a highly positive one on the same day, that low-key bashes the lower level employees complaining? Sorry, but that’s too big of a coincidence. Forgive us for holding onto the past – we were happier back then, had less drama, were valued, and worked harder to help the company however we could. Now most of us are just here to collect a paycheck. I suppose this is typical for the companies you worked in.
