Pros

The 28 day work schedule. Nice to have 7 days off each month. Excellent medical benefits. Really nice pay $$$.

Cons

At Cordero Rojo Mine, bosses have their favorite employees who get to learn new things and they advance really quickly. If you are not on their favorite list you are treated like crap and you do NOT advance what so ever. If you are in a truck you are monitored by a camera system the whole time you are there. It's a dying industry.

Pros

Good pay while the jobs last

Cons

Constant uncertainty and plotting/ secrecy from upper management. They make it very clear that they do not value employees at any level below the very top. Also, industry is dying as a whole leading to more problems. Don't work here if you can help it.

Pros

The job is easy and not physically demanding. People are nice and there is not any drama in engineering. They make it fun and try to reward hard work with food and humor. The company will invest in your training and give you good equipment and your own office. Engineers work 4 days a week for 10 hour day shifts. We get one offsite day a week and it can be moved around on occasion. If work runs late we can take it home and do not have to stay late at the office.

Cons

The drive is early (4-5 am) and long (1:15 hrs), but we are given a company van, free gas, and a carpool to switch off drivers.
