Pros

No dress code for in office

Cons

They have major layoffs and never pay employees on time. Try to make loopholes to get out of paying you if you leave and have every excuse in the book as to why you’re expected to have the best opinions about them when they have gone over 3 weeks late on paying the entire company to then furlough them. They offer horrible PTO and expect you to never use it unless you plan on paying them back on the off chance you get laid off and did not accrue PTO back. Very few pros here. Some good people there, but none of the people in power care at all. Their entire priority is to make money and do not care who it affects. I don’t foresee this company making it another year unless by some miracle they get a funding third party which is not recommended if you wish to make money back as an investor. They will lie to the end to make you believe they aren’t going under while they are barely staying afloat. If you value job security, trust, and flexibility. DO. NOT. WORK HERE.

Pros

Big salaries so you ignore the toxic culture

Cons

Nerd wants you to believe they’re a transparency promoting startup. Until you’re through the door, that’s what your sold. Nerd is led by a group of “avengers”, who are a shadow group of investors(?). No one really knows because they’ve never bothered to show up at the building. And yeah, who the hell is narcissistic enough to think you’re a super hero for having money? But that’s Nerd. A day in the life is filled with toxic rumors since leadership can’t be forthright. You have to whisper to your neighbor who was sacked from day to day. The only time they have been Dorthy is when you show up to work to find you don’t have a job anymore. They’ve done massive layoffs, followed by aggressive hiring. It doesn’t make sense—back to the theme of no transparency.

Pros

Great team and great co workers.

Cons

A mess. No room for growth. No real bonuses. No raises. Heavily monitored and required internal proprietary software that monitors your computer "work" time. Overlords known as the Avengers who have no clear vision and work is sporadic as we wait for product to give us work. Lies and lack of transparency. Maybe you will get paid this period, maybe not.
