Pros

Really nice people who care about the company and their mission

Cons

This company should be making money like they’ve got their own printing press. The product and its ability to cure people who suffer from depression is absolutely amazing!! Unfortunately, they can’t cure the depressing environment that exists inside their home office and that permeates the company culture. The Executive Leadership Team is completely out of touch; they ignore, or just don’t care about, the rampant morale problem that has existed for several years. And decisions about managing customer relations are regularly made out of desperation, not with any degree of long-term strategy. The Sales Team only produces at the end of each quarter; cramming through deals in that third month with no thought towards the long-term impact on the company or the customer they claim to be “servicing”. The CFO is completely out of touch with his department and, when asked, makes almost no effort to evaluate potential deals that fall outside the scope of what is deemed “normal” or in the best interest of the company. I can’t really call him incompetent, because he’s not involved enough to display his level of competence. I would say the word that best describes this CFO is either “disinterested” or “coasting”. I think he’s committed to doing as little as possible and avoiding any responsibility for the sole purpose of maintaining plausible deniability should things go awry. (My original review contained more specific details, which GD determined might “disclose trade secrets or confidential company information”. But suffice it to say, this guy is not invested in his team and really couldn’t be more disconnected from the department that he’s supposed to be leading.) When the company recently raised $85M with a secondary stock offering, 3 members of the Executive Leadership Team were “promoted” and given raises (all of which is public knowledge). This happened less than a year after the company laid-off a third of their entire work-force in response to the Covid pandemic. Could there be a less responsible use of the funds that they scammed from institutional investors?? People continue leaving the company in droves and the desperation isn’t even very well hidden anymore. Sadly this is a sinking ship; those who remain are merely rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. If you want to work for a strong company with a product that improves people’s lives, look elsewhere. This is a sick and toxic culture where logic and reason are shunned like the plague.

Pros

Passionate about saving lives.........but for a cost!

Cons

I recently had the unfortunate experience of working at Neuronetics, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts and observations. As an employee who values autonomy and diversity in the workplace, my time at Neuronetics was a disappointing and frustrating journey. One of the most glaring issues I encountered was the company's rampant micro-management culture. Rather than fostering a sense of trust and empowerment, Neuronetics seemed more interested in monitoring every aspect of its employees' work. The constant scrutiny stifled creativity and hindered productivity, leaving me feeling suffocated and undervalued. It was disheartening to witness the lack of trust the management placed in its employees. Another concerning aspect of Neuronetics was its practice of hiring family members. While nepotism can occasionally lead to positive outcomes, in this case, it created a toxic work environment. Family members appeared to receive preferential treatment and were shielded from the same scrutiny that non-related employees faced. This created an unhealthy power dynamic and diminished the chances of career growth for those who weren't connected by blood or friendship. Furthermore, the lack of diversity at Neuronetics was glaringly apparent. The workforce predominantly consisted of individuals from a similar background, which led to a homogeneous and monotonous workplace culture. They even looked the same. The absence of diverse perspectives limited creativity and innovation, making it difficult to overcome challenges from different angles. It's disheartening to see a company disregard the importance of diversity and inclusion in today's globalized world. One of the most concerning aspects of Neuronetics was its lack of accountability when dealing with customer dissatisfaction. Rather than taking responsibility and learning from their mistakes, the management seemed to deflect blame and avoid addressing customer concerns. This lack of accountability not only harmed the company's reputation but also frustrated employees who genuinely wanted to provide excellent service. In conclusion, Neuronetics falls short in several critical areas. The micro-management culture, preferential treatment of family members, lack of diversity, and absence of accountability when customers are upset paint a picture of an unhealthy and stagnant work environment. For those seeking a workplace that encourages individual growth, creativity, diversity, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Pros

It’s wonderful to help treat a population that needs more options than what is being offered to them Worked with some great clients, others leave less to be desired Colleagues were friendly and helpful

Cons

High turnover in Management and Sales roles This company is performing so badly to a point where there are a lot of employees leaving rapidly. People are seeing the signs, and others are following Leadership is full of smoke and mirrors, but as a publicly traded company.. the numbers do not lie Severe cutbacks have been initiated before and after my departure
