Pros

The health benefits are very good, that is good cause you are going to need them. Newbasis hires primarily non-violent ex-cons - felons, which seems quite charitable giving these individuals a second chance.

Cons

You had best read all the reviews about NewBasis. All but the “Not a “Disgruntled EX Employee” review are accurate. I am not a disgruntled ex-employee, just an ex-employee that ran away from this hell hole. I am only taking the time to write here as a public service to spare anyone the nightmare that is NewBasis. If it were an option, I would give NewBasis no starts if I could. The concerned C.E.O.? That’s a laugh. That is just a show he puts on until one of his temper tantrums and then the terminations begin. They hire ex-cons because that about all that are willing to put up with the environment out of fear of going back to jail if not gainfully employed. The condescending treatment by USC no nothings is also accurate. Toxic fumes, lung clogging dust that that caring C.E.O. would not do anything about. I left over four years ago, and I am sure the toxic health hazards still exist. This is where the good health benefits come in handy. After living over half my lifetime I suddenly came down with asthma while working there. If you make the mistake of interviewing at NewBasis you will see and smell the toxic environment there. Then you will know I speak the truth. The positive review aforementioned is most likely one of the owners or the USC people. They seem to do well. The all have nice cars and such while the rest are struggling. Consider yourself warned. If you end up working at NewBasis after reading this, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Pros

It was a multiple-year course on how not to run a business. The head of the parent company, now its CEO, was/is the professor. The years that I have been away from here are the happiest, most productive of my life, and I know now what not to do. I left after the CEO let go of all the remaining smart people, including the former leadership, salespeople, operations people, etc.

Cons

The now CEO cares about nothing but his "Crazy Ideas," which seem to arise daily. The business goes from one extreme to another, one idea to another, one unbroken promise to another. The only way to get ahead is to be one of the "chosen ones" close to the CEO. But it seems like they only remain "chosen ones" for so long, before getting fired - either for imagined wrongs or because they got tired of kissing up.

CEO is always firing people

Pros

It is a paying job

Cons

The CEO has an uncontrollable need to fire someone senior several times a year. The CEO's policies don't work, he finds someone to blame for it, and that person gets fired. This seems to happen every few months. It has literally touched everyone who has run the business, production, sales and many other areas of the company. It is only to try to cover up his own multiple failures stretching over many years. They did have good senior leadership in the past, but the CEO fired them too.
