Pros

Pension plan and former colleagues

Cons

Echoing what others have said, the current Superintendent has created a culture of chaos and unrealistic expectations for the organization. The transformation has been an abject failure of the greatest proportions and it shows with the low staff morale. Senior management are dysfunctional and have a clear problem with figuring out which lanes they need to stay in. The organization went on a hiring spree during early on in the transition, which absolutely decimated the sector responsible for the core mandate and the Superintendent essentially didn’t acknowledge or take accountability for his failure try and grow without any proper plan in place. The hybrid work environment is a gong show and they don’t have enough workspace for people to actually come to the office, on top of weekly reporting to managers on whether you swipe your access card or not.

Pros

Benefits, lifestyle, work life balance,

Cons

Very incompetent management. Toxic environment. This organization learns from institutions and acts like they know it all. The Climate Change group just does not have the skillset. Most of the info to date is plagarized from international material, done by contractors etc. They need an overhaul of that group.

Pros

Defined benefit pension plan. That's it.

Cons

Other negative reviews are accurate: - cut throat, bullying work environment that senior management foster. Everyone is afraid of reprisal - Rampant favoritism and nepotism - Boys club. Senior leaders are too busy accumulating power - Virtue signaling with DEI in public while class action lawsuit for discrimination of POC taking place - No career progression available unless you're from the chosen group -Hybrid work bait and switch - Not in Top 20 federal department/agency
