The office was like a morgue, not at all like an agency. No one talked about anything… work, current projects, life! You were watched over by a selection of the senior team, who literally looked down on you. You could not express an opinion, and if you did a certain senior team member took it upon themselves to belittle. It was soul-destroying to go into the office every day, you questioned your knowledge. They were exceptional at micromanagement and restraining an employee to grow and develop.

Sometimes kind to a fault - i.e. not taking tough decisions so as not to offend or hurt people. Which can have negative impact on those working hardest. Investment in digital as a capability and resource needs to be more widely embraced beyond head office. Sometimes slow to make decisions.
