Great benefits don't make up for everything else

Pros

Gym on-site, good pay, parking for major Zilker related festivals/events, a plethora of snacks in the breakroom, occasional free lunch, 401K contribution and full health insurance

Cons

Sexist/degrading to women (no HR to talk to), favoritism, lack of organization and communication between departments, an extensive amount of gossip. (It's almost impossible not to get caught in the gossip yourself, but after a while, you'll start to see the light of the toxic environment.) Bottom line: If you're a male, you'll be fine in this organization. Females, steer clear as you will encounter at least one, if not many, sexual remarks made to you, about you, or about someone else in the company/network.

Pros

Pay is pretty good There are some good apples on the engineering team You could coast here forever with minimal effort

Cons

Typical male driven engineering culture, toxic at times Automation team has no idea what they're doing and does not follow best practices There are entire maintenance sprints for the automation suite 🚩 QA team is more worried about documentation than actual testing Engineering is extremely resistant to change

Pros

I have been a full-time employee for five years and have really enjoyed all that the company has to offer. No company is perfect, but I can say that the pros definitely outweigh the cons. It's still a relatively small company with a ton of opportunity to grow and move up in the organization if that's what you're looking for. The benefits are great, and one of the things I value most is the work/life balance. I have a family so when my kids have a school program or they're sick, I have no problem requesting time to take care of my family. It's also a very collaborative environment, and the top management listens to ideas from their employees. They're willing to help any time we need them which is very refreshing.

Cons

The only downside for me is location and commute, but that's my fault for living so far from the office.
