Pros

Hard to come up with any positives except for some amazing Co-Workers most of who have moved on to bigger and better things escaping the toxic environment

Cons

If you are looking to work for a company with a horrible and condescending CEO, lazy and rude management, awful compensation and all around toxic environment look no further ownerIQ is the company for you. ownerIQ has the unique gift of taking smart, hardworking, and passionate people and relentlessly beating them down until they have no choice but to leave. There is absolutely no opportunity for career growth unless you are an expert in failing up and playing the politics game (welcome to the swamp). ownerIQ enjoys keeping their employees in constant fear of being fired, while continuously moving the goal post making it impossible for anyone to achieve success. Management from the top down is hands down the worst I have ever seen. Often times verbally abusive to employees and always condescending varying on a whim from micro-managers to non-existing managers who spend there day shopping or working out instead of being at the office. They are quick to take credit for success and just as fast to blame for failure. Its unfortunate that ownerIQ actually has a relatively good value prop but can't seem to get out of their own way. The teams are structured in a way that causes cluster and confusion for clients making closing deals very challenging. FINAL WARNING: If after all this you still decide to take a job at ownerIQ and start to close deals be warned that they often let people go to avoid paying commission.

Pros

You will learn a lot about yourself - your patience, restraint, composure, etc. - by choosing to pursue a career here. There’s beer on tap to get you through the tough times.

Cons

Below are the most important things for you to know about life at the Q. They are my own thoughts however I will say that I speak on behalf of many current, miserable employees who are afraid to speak up for fear of losing their job. -Lack and/or CONSTANT change in directon (to the put where clients were complaining and thus the Q would lose out on revenue opportunity) -Nepotism (CEO surrounds himself with people who agree with him/obey him and everyone else is wrong. There are also 2 people in upper management - who shall remain nameless - who are dating each other, which further perpetuates the aforementioned favoritism) -Immaturity (LOTS of finger pointing, whining and laziness from CEO/VPs/SVPs. LOTS of people who just like to hear themselves talk in meetings yet nothing ever gets accomplished). -Micromanagement (there is a severely concerning lack of trust and it comes from the top. As a result, CEO needs to have his hands in EVERYTHING and there is a significant amount of nit-picking over insignificant things) -Barely profitable (it’s a red flag when a 10+ year old company is still dependent on funding to make ends meet. They did a huge layoff back in April 2017 and haven’t learned from any of their mistakes) -Underpaid/overworked employees who get thrown under the bus constantly, verbally abused and wrongly accused on the reg. As a result, no one is motivated to do much. Can’t blame them - I was one of them - but it’s a reason why little gets accomplished. I could go on but you get the point...

Pros

Good exposure to a variety of sale types (DSP, managed, data, retail direct, etc) as well as a place where I was able to build my contact rolodex being newer to sales when I joined. Also some great people who work there (unfortunately, the senior management team is not great). Unlimited PTO (you will need this to stay sane) Paid out commission monthly (good luck if you're one of the few who are able to actually make commission since all account assignments are based on politics and playing favorites)

Cons

Motivation by fear of getting fired, micro-managed, disjointed communication from the top down, degrading mid-level management, terrible senior management, unrealistic goals, no formal review process or check ins, just disjointed 1:1's. Just do not even entertain the idea of working here. Hands down worst company I've ever worked for.
