      Some interesting projects to work on if your one of the chosen ones including annual decent R&D investment.

      Cons

      PCTEL has some of the most unintelligent, untalented and lazy individuals you will ever have the displeasure in working with. The company will reward these minions with promotion and bonuses, stealing other people’s ideas as their own and ensuring they make an extra special effort to laugh and clap at the CEOs poor jokes at the quarterly reviews. Marketing is nonexistent with some very poor supporting collateral including a horrific website, straight from the 1990s. Promotion is only available if you become a spy for the CEO or stay long enough to care; you will get your own office on the back of this.

      Disappointing and ultimately frustrating

      Decent salary and benefits, difficult to find any others

      Cons

      Where to begin, office environment leaves a lot to be desired. Mgt team are arrogant and have no idea, replacement sales guys are not a patch on what grew sales in previous years, the grass isn’t always greener with so called partners. Still many not pulling a decent shift, a hangover from previous mgt that refuses to go away. Much of the early technical innovation has gone seem content to play catch up but never get to it.

More than eight years is a long time and I’m sure you felt invested in the success of the company. I will investigate your comment on arrogance because that is not how I operate, nor do I tolerate it in others. With respect to innovation, I suggest you review the team’s latest wins in 5G and Industrial IoT. As you know from your time here, PCTEL’s go to market strategy relies heavily on a sales team that leverages the skills and capabilities of our partners.
