Pros

The people at certain properties are terrific and fun to work with.

Cons

Everything else. Low base pay, lower than average commission pay, long hours, work weekends, poor management at the lower levels, no contact with upper management, no training whatsoever at any level, no structure. Paradigm is a small company, but they do not care about their people at all. All they see and care about is dollar signs. Essentially, you have to learn by making mistakes, and when you make mistakes, property managers are reprimanded by regional management, and then leasing consultants and assistant managers are reprimanded by property managers. There is no incentive to do well within the company or even at the property level, as they took away property leasing competitions and therefore you are not rewarded or recognized based on your hard work. The turnover rate is extremely high, as everyone that values themselves realizes that this is not a company you want to be stuck in for the long haul. They have fired employees that were loyal to the company for over 10 years, just to save some money by hiring out contractors that do a poor job replacing them. Lower management is also directed to not give references for previous employees, as they see this as a ‘liability’, so if this is your first job and you need a professional reference for your next job — good luck. I’d also like to note that if you have creative and inventive ideas that save the company time and money, you are not rewarded in any way and instead, you are told to simply do your job and nothing else. They say that they encourage you to offer ideas to your managers, but please be careful with this, as many of them don’t want to hear it and will feel threatened by your incentive. I’m extremely disappointed in this company and the way they treat their employees, and I will be sure to direct everyone away from working here. Please note: I was not fired, I am not a disgruntled ex-employee, I am simply giving a raw and honest review of my experience. I hope you take my advice.

We know how hard our onsite teams work and attempt to recognize those efforts in a variety of ways including awards for leasing, employee of the month, anniversaries, etc. We take your comments very seriously and will make sure that moving forward we do a better job of listening to our onsite teams and making sure that you feel valued and heard. Pros

-Is a great company for someone just starting out of college & has no expectations. -Great Place to be train and gain the experience to transfer to a better job. (1 year top)

Cons

-Opportunity to grow is based on your manager. If he doesn't like you. You are not going anywhere. -They have a $3000 dollar deductible on their insurance. So if you get sick you are out of luck. -They don't pay corporate commission to their employees. No renewals bonus, No delinquency Bonus. -Salary is not competitive. -They have a 401K (Voya Financial) and they will match up to 4 %. However, if you quit after a year or two you won’t get anything they match. In order to get it you have to stay with them for over 6 years.
