I thought that a small company would be more transparent than a larger one and would provide lots of opportunity, but it ended up being extremely political and cliquish. There always seemed to be employees who didn't really seem to have a purpose, yet it didn't matter as long as they were friendly with the right people.

As hard as it is to hear, thank you for your feedback. I am truly sorry you had this experience - it is the opposite of the experience I set out to create when I started the company 12 years ago, or the experience the leadership team strives for as it plans our work and culture. I'll certainly consider my role in making you feel that my hellos were not sincere or that we don't respect and value every one of our team members here. We will strive for better in the future. I wish you luck, success and a team you feel a part of at your next venture.
Centrally located office. I’m writing these words because Glassdoor requires it. There are no more pros. These were the worst times of my life.
Cons
Poor leadership- they work their staff to the bone, don't know or care what motivates people and don't listen to feedback when explicitly given it. Very poor culture.
Relaxed environment, friendly coworkers and good work life balance. CEO is nice and caring.
Cons
Very little room for career advancement. The company tends to hire from outside rather than promote from within.
Some terribly incompetent lower level managers and the company structure and culture make it impossible to make your voice heard by anyone above your manager.
