Pros

Wow, hard to think of any, but completing this field is mandatory. Penspen is a company with a long standing pedigree. As little as that now means, there are a few good employees left. Owners Dar al Handasah are a decent firm.

Cons

A firm making year on year loses as catastrophic as its leadership decisions and actions, making redundancies and pay cuts left, right and centre. It's become political and cut-throat in recent years, no longer a fun or secure place to work.

Pros

Companionable workforce. Easy going work atmosphere. Good location. Well respected in the industry. Experts able to give advice in legal disputes.

Cons

Most of those experts have left. Out of control HR team unable to engage with rank and file. Management distant and completely devoid of common sense. Escalating financial losses and diminishing size. No longer as well respected in this industry.

Bizarre Leadership Decisions

Pros

Reasonable salary and flex benefits upon joining. This has now been significantly impacted however in an effort to keep the business afloat due to gross mismanagement at the top level.

Cons

Bizarre Executive Management decisions, putting self-preservation ahead of basic business acumen. Cutting long-serving, fee-earning personnel as opposed to cutting back on the funding of their own excessive business travel costs, bonuses etc. Management structure is unnecessarily large and an inflated overhead burden will eventually kill this company. Director-level staff are scared to challenge/debate direction with the Executive Leadership and therefore downward trajectory will continue.
