Pros

Fellow colleagues who share the same disgruntled views

Cons

As a current employee of Pepper UK for several years, must be said this is the worst company I have ever worked for, mainly for the following reasons: 1. Management seem to be very cliquey, you will only get promoted if you are in the "in crowd" so lots of favouritism and no fair opportunities 2. HR appear to be incompetent and unapproachable for even the simplest of tasks. 3. HR tend to only side with Senior Management rather than deal with employee grievances (lazy!) 4. Awards are completely biased to HR Personnel - I don't remember voting for "Employee of the Year"! Also, seems a bit too coincidental that HR are winning all the prizes for competitions that they administer - Fix! 5. The CEO seems disengaged with the business 6. Very poor IT infrastructure and softwares 7. The culture is getting worse and slowly declining 8. Apart from a few individuals I generally HATE coming to work, but I have to pay rent, so is and always will be a means to an end. No progression at all. 9. Massive levels of hypocrisy in the business 10. As a female, feel the business environment is very catty making it very unpleasant to work in 11. Employees are always undervalued and undercut , driven by those determining salaries. 12. No transparency of pay and grades e.g. People doing the same jobs will be paid very differently and those who are incapable are kept on higher pay 13. Benefits and location are poor compared to other financial services. No car park available for must pay for your own parking which is fifteen mins walk Lots of people are leaving as they are being driven out by managers, given no option. Also as a non-ethnic, I feel appalled that there have been some racial undertones by management.

Unprofessional and moronic

Pros

It's close to the shopping centre.

Cons

Unprofessional attitude of the HR team: I was recruited as a HR Admin for the newly formed Lending Division. I lasted four days before being asked to leave because I hadn't delivered on my promises in the interview. The manager who recruited me was only with me for two days, with sporadic contact. I was given next to no training about HR processes and when I did take the initiative to get started on these, I was told they were "far too rudimentary" and "not for someone who was my level of expertise." OK, it's my third day and you're already telling me this isn't good enough?! Throw me a freaking bone here! This office was a little bit of a commute for me and as it was a new office, I was a little nervous. Yet, the manager commented on how "tired, confused and nervous" I was looking. Again, NEW JOB!!!! Anyone, however experienced they are, will ALWAYS be a little nervous or apprehensive in a new job! I'm not so much angry as annoyed: I wasn't given a fair crack of the whip for this role, and I really should have trusted my gut instinct on not going for this role, as well as the reviews written on here. I'm not saying avoid this company, as for some, it did seem like a nice place to work. However, out of desperation I took this role.

Pros

free tea, fruit and coffee central location

Cons

The WORST MANAGEMENT I have ever come across. They do not communicate to their staff. They are amateur's in their roles and have no idea what their doing. those who work hard are underpaid and those that do nothing get paid more. Hard work is not valued or recognised. This place is just a joke. no career progression and no salary increase. HR are unprofessional lack of respect and loyalty to staff managers should be encouraging and supporting staff progression- they are set in their backward ways and have no idea. They make up things as they go along. Appraisals are a complete waste of time- its all rubbish and just a box that needs to be ticked but has no meaning. DO NOT APPLY FOR A JOB HERE!!
