Pros

Some good people to work with, little else.

Cons

Slave rate wages for trainees, little or no training on floor, virtually no sick pay and a tolerance for bullying by management. Would NEVER recommend.

Terrible place to work

Pros

The only pro about working for Peter Mark was free quality coffee.

Cons

Long working hours, terrible pay which you have to pester them for, you have to use holiday leave in full weeks so if you need a day off to go somewhere you have to take the full week. Management will attempt to block you from taking annual leave if they're busy or think they'll be busy resulting in the loss of your holidays and holiday pay as they can't be carried into the next year. The list goes on and on.

Deeply unsatisfying

Pros

If placed in the right salon, you might actually earn a decent wage, and if the manager likes you

Cons

Managers often aren’t even hairdressers, not even close, they might have been managing a retail store before with no understanding of hairdressing industry. Toxic inviroment is often and no one really cares about your problem with the salon, they don’t give you extra time for your clients, no Christmas bonus, you are not allowed to call in sick in December, and if you do you’re more than likely be treated really bad on your return, not flexible with holidays, sometimes they will even approve your holidays and they tell you you can’t go one month prior without caring of how you’re going to handle it, double standards between staff and they won’t fire you if they don’t want you there, they will rather make your life a living hell so you quit yourself. I could just go on and on about what I experienced there in my two years with that company.
