Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Point Park University full-time for more than 8 years
Pros
Wonderful immediate co-workers and students. Convenient location.
Cons
Administration attempts to put all departments in the same category and does not make an effort to understand needs that are particular to each discipline. The immediate environment is warm, but much cooler at a university-wide level.
Pros
I am an international student, a work student.
Cons
I am an international student, so it was a good experience.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Point Park University full-time for more than a year
Pros
Students are overall eager to learn and great to work with.
Cons
Admin is a joke, plenty of cover ups of faculty misbehavior. Prepare to be gaslight if you have any claims. . . If you have tenure you can do anything. Administration is more worried about getting new students than keeping or supporting current students.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Point Park University full-time
Pros
Free schooling for my children, nice coworkers
Cons
"Management"--if that is what you want to call it. I think a lot of people in management have titles because of the "good ole boy" network. Another thing--go and check out the Board of Trustees/Directors and upper management. How diverse is Point Park University outside of the college students? It speaks volumes.

Students are a joy to work with
Cons
I work myself to death and make the same amount as someone who sits at her computer and watches YouTube videos all day and my boss never holds her accountable and they wonder why the staff here are bitter.

Great place to teach motivated students the practical application of the textbook and what it's like in the real world.
