Pros

The biggest thing about working at Postcardmania is the team environment paired with everyone's willingness to help each other become better every day, no matter what department you are in. This is especially true in the sales area. It was odd to me when I first started as the other jobs I came from were the exact opposite, everyone was just in it for themselves and kept their heads down. Here at PostcardMania, it is truly is a team environment. Knowing that the over all success of the company relies on the success of each individual no matter what department. Some other really great things are: The on site cafe is excellent if you are in a pinch for breakfast or lunch. They even have FREE coffee but if you want something a little extra, you can buy specialty coffees and smoothies. There is onsite yoga, exercise equipment and an on site masseuse that comes in twice a week. This is really great to help with this added stresses of life. Health and wellness is really important to everyone here! In Sales, we have monthly and quarterly bonuses, as well as, extra daily/weekly sales games as incentives. Its really a fun way to keep up the momentum of sales. Overall working at PostcardMania is really fun and rewarding and is a great place to work!

Cons

The only thing I can really think of is the parking can be a bit crazy at times, but there is additional parking a short walk off site. This is to be expected though as a company continues to grow.

Pros

PostcardMania does some things right, including: - Ongoing sales training from dedicated coaches - Steady influx of new leads - Casual atmosphere - Good job security

Cons

Healthy amount of cons, with the worst being: - Tough productivity quotas to hit, resulting in sales agents calling the same leads every single day. There's "no cold calling" but some of these leads given out were YEARS old. - Required scientology management training in order to move up in the company. They'll say it's not scientology stuff, but it is. - More on the scientology stuff, it's downright weird. Nuts what goes down in that "course room". When I came in for my interview, a mother of one of the employees that was dropping off her mail said to me "Get ready, they're all scientologists here..." I know they're not ALL scientologists, but I should've listened, lol. - Gaslighting is rampant and there's a big lack of WLB, especially for account managers. - Benefits are non-existent, and pay is low. Want to take a day off? You get like 3 in your first year, it's insane. - Just not a fun job. I was ready to call it quits a couple months in. Some people have been there for years and love it (most are scientologists themselves with that long tenure), but for many people it's a revolving door of a job. - Sales is frequently touted as the "favorite department", and while we were coddled in some ways, it was still rough. Imagine how the other departments feel?

Thank you for your review. I would like to address the points you mentioned. First, no new staff are asked to leave reviews. You are not in HR or you would know that. And I know you were not asked when you were new, because we just don't do that. It also just doesn't make sense to ask new hires to leave reviews, who don't even know us yet. We actually do ask new hires to leave Interview reviews as those are fresh in their memories. Maybe that is what you are talking about? 1) We have 35 Sales Representative in our sales department. We get in an average of 2500 brand new leads a week and these go straight to our reps, on rotation. There are zero "old leads" that are given to our sales reps. Each Sales Rep is responsible for their database and if a rep leaves, we will give an existing database to a new sales rep. Of every database there is probably about 20% that are years old since the company has been around for 25 years. But new leads are ALWAYS brand new and have to be in a reps hands within 10 minutes of a new caller. That is our company policy. 2) We don't do Scientology here. We produce and sell marketing. Our owner has chosen to use organizational advice from L Ron, Hubbard (who is the founder of Scientology). This advice is regarding how to run the organization, the use of graphs and statistics to closely monitor production in the company. How to manage people using kindness and friendliness, how to find the exact right cause of things in order to fix them and help our company expand and grow. In fact she also uses advice on how to market her company in order to grow and we have hit our best ever year after year. 3) 90% of our staff are hired through Indeed after they reached out to us from an ad – probably just like you. Speaking from my personal opinion and the leader of HR, I can tell you that I don’t care what people believe in. I also believe that Freedom of Religion is a basic human right and that is not my place or anyone’s place, to judge. Most people are good and are just trying to do what is right for them. So I could not tell you what our staff religions are, as we have no clue, nor do we care. 4) Our PTO is actually 8 in the first year, 13 in the second year and so on. 5) A unique thing about our company is that EVERY Monday meeting there are many awards we give out. Mostly for Account Managers and Design team, as well as those who received accolades from their managers, and those who are given kudos from our clients. Not sure where Sales is being touted as the favorite department? In addition to that every department has fun and games that the manager puts on for them – this is in the budget of each team lead. Additionally, HR puts on monthly events for all the staff. Including free food, games, trivia, dress up days, etc. In fact Sales and a few machine operators are unfortunately the ONLY people that cannot attend our events because they need to sell. We wish you all the best and that you find a company and a job, that better suits what you are looking for.

Pros

Dog-friendly, free yoga, on-site cafe, it’s reallllllyyyy hard to get fired. They’d rather keep a bad employee than pay out unemployment.

Cons

I’ve held off on leaving a review in fear of burning former coworkers who became friends (they still are and this is fully directed towards the execs). This company thrives off gaslighting their employees. Work-life balance is frowned upon but so is working too many OT hours because that cuts into their profits. Unless your salary, then you’re expected to work until there’s no work left but let’s be real there’s always work to do. Employees have mental breakdowns left and right but mental health isn’t a real thing to them. The church of Scientology is strongly against therapists, so is the company. They think you’re just lazy or being dramatic. There have been multiple reports of sexual harassment towards a specific employee. It always seems to be taken seriously at the time of the report but nothing more than a slap on the wrist happens and the individual is still employed despite the repetitive allegations. You’d think that a woman owned company would take that kind of thing seriously. The pay is laughable. There’s a reason it’s not publicly listed. And don’t get me started on the PTO (which you have to use as sick days). 3 days your first year, 7 your second… etc. They try to use the job perks to offset the low pay but a living wage is worth more than free yoga and pizza parties.. And you can forget about asking for a raise. You’d have more success separating grains of salt out of pepper. Covid was handled about as poorly it could’ve been. Remote work was nonexistent after the first 3 weeks and the CEO laughed at people who wanted to take it seriously… it was “fake” as far as they were concerned. But I must say the most baffling thing they’ve ever done is forcing their employees to come into the office and work during a major hurricane because the building is rated for a “Cat 5”…. It is so apparent this company does not actually care about their employees. They care about their bottom line.

Thank you for your review. I would like to comment on a few points. 1) Those who have been fired would not agree, that its "reallllllyyyy hard to get fired" as you said. If you do a good job and work hard, you will love it here and you will get rewarded as such. If you do not do a good job, or it’s a bad fit, or you cause trouble, you will be asked to leave. That is the simplicity of it. 2) Its clear to me, that you either experienced or saw or heard something that made you feel like we “Thrive off of gaslighting”. For that I'm sorry, and I wish I could have helped and I would have done something to help. I can tell you though if was true, we would not be where we are at today. We have trainers and coaches that help all day every day. we have a room where you can get away from the working day and read materials that could help you on your job. We also have insurance who provides free virtual counseling day or night or you can schedule in office visits. We are all human, and no one is perfect. But we can sure try hard to do a good job and help each other out. That is our mentality. 3) I’m in HR and I personally, deal with all harassment claims of ANY nature. Managers tell me if there is any hint of harassment as we take this subject VERY seriously. You mention “multiple reports”. You cannot know this since you were not in HR. We handle every report immediately and appropriately. We have no one running around here who has “repetitive allegations”. And we have fired someone on the spot for harassment. 4) Pay is clearly, and in EVERY case, written on our ads. Each new hire also gets a written offer letter on the day of the job offer. We also ALWAYS ask during, interview if this pay is going to work for you. We expect you to not accept and start a job if the pay is too low for you. We also expect you to not apply for a job, if you know the pay is too low for you based on our ads. It seems you chose to apply and work here. 5) Regarding PTO, you have been misinformed. Our PTO is actually 8 in the first year, 13 in the next and so on. 6) No one was forced to work during the hurricane. PostcardMania turned into a shelter as it normally does, and the staff went home. All staff received 2 additional PTO days and stayed at home. The building was open to several people who stayed in our hurricane safe building. 7) We love our company and we love our staff. This is the only company that I have ever worked for that does multiple surveys throughout the year, to actually hear what our staff think so that we can fix or change things. We wish you all the best and that you find a company and a job, that better suits what you are looking for.
