Pros

The company's work is important and rewarding. The results speak for themselves in the savings achieved for customers. The work environment is remote and flexible. Lots of time off and decent benefits. It feels like senior management does care about the employees. Not sure if this is a pro for the employees but they were acquired by a private equity group. I would expect some changes in the next few years as they try to increase the profitability of the company and diversify their product offerings.

Cons

The middle management of the VCX department is young and inexperienced. Individuals are promoted based on politics and if they have friends at a higher level. A further complexity being the company promotes almost entirely from within and hire a majority new graduates directly out of college so there is not an experienced pool of individuals to promote from. When things get difficult it becomes apparent how much this team lacks in experience . They lean on micromanagement and constant performance reviews because they lack leadership and relationship management skills. Some of the most experienced employees have been pushed out or let go because they didn't conform to the management style.

Pros

Remote work, some flexibility in schedule

Cons

No room for salary negotiation, no incentives to do a good job, pay raise structure and performance ratings need way more work

Pros

Remote, flexible time, good onboarding process and great people to work with. Promotes from within.

Cons

Can get pretty technical and you have to learn about HVAC equipment virtually, which can be dificult. Bonuses are often not paid out on time and are only twice/year.
