Mediocre and irrelevant - don't waste your time!

Pros

Most of the employees are smart and genuine, to the exception of some bad seeds, who have a history of harrassing coworkers (male and female), across multiple departments (Management persists that they have been valuable to the Company's growth in the past, and don't want to "get in the culture of firing people"). If you do your job correctly (not hard, most people do) you can get promoted quickly (Management uses that as a scheme to keep people around).

Cons

Overall, the work you do in Client Services is unsophisticated and unimpressive. PowerAdvocate hires engineers from top schools - unfortunately the work Management offers to the clients is basic and boring (as one of my old coworker stated "high paid clerical work"). My biggest recommendation is to not stay in the company for more than 2 years. The work is so obsolete, that it'll become very hard to brand yourself (as you thought you would if you had worked at a normal consulting firm) to future companies. Sadly, the Leadership team truly believes that the work they do with their clients (all archaic utilities who are still stuck in the 70s) is unique . Reality check - hours spent frivolously on PowerPoints is nothing but a waste of time. Additionally, they WILL send you to middle of nowhere locations for months (Kansas, Calgary, Texas, Nevada Monday to Thursday) and pay you a ridiculously low salary (65k for associates, 73k for managers). Yearly salary increases are around 7%, which amounts to 100 dollars a month more after tax. Once again, this is contingent on if they're having a "good year" (unclear what that means for such an irrelevant company).

Pros

- Location is convenient for commuting since is close to South Station.

Cons

- Toxic work environment. - Some of the team leads are Incompetent and unprofessional (f.e. whining about the amount of work, saying things like "X is not the smartest person around" etc). - Software development teams work from a basement! - Computers are at least 5 years old and break often
