The main problem is your actual job might be rewarding and interesting, but you won’t get to do it. This is the most high ego, mismanaged, ridiculous place I’ve ever worked at. About 20% of your time here will be doing your job, and the rest will be trying to navigate trying to do your job. The company is run like it’s 2000. Everything is run by the question “who likes who” and you’ll be pulled onto clients, pulled off clients, given more responsibility, given less responsibility, be told to come into the office, not have to come into the office, etc by the whims of partners and svps whose opinions change by the minute. You’ll have to do so much coddling of egos your whole job will grind to a halt. The two biggest teams have never ending tension, and it makes it just a really sad place to work. But it all starts from the top down. It was really sad because it could be such a cool dynamic agency doing important work, it’s just incredibly mismanaged.
