There are so many cons about this place. They talk down to their employees in front of other employees to demote them and make them feel ashamed of their mistakes. Mistakes that they were not trained to handle. They will discriminate by race and gender. They specifically say that they will not hire men for certain positions because it is not a good fit for them. The owner makes sexually remarks to the young college students..in front of his wife who is also part of higher management. They never trust that you are doing something right even when you are. It's their way or the highway. Never give them advice on how to do something better, they will not take it well. Any suggestions will go out the door. Upper management will tell you to do something one way and then a week later demand you do it another way. I've heard many discrimitory marks working here. It is obvious none of the upper management have degrees in business. They don't even know how to remain confidential about previous and current employees. Upper management can not be trusted. They will lie to get their way and then claim later on they didn't say something. The turn over rate is extremely high in both sales and the bidding department. When they fire or lay someone off they make excuses as to why they were fired to the other employees. It is none of their business to explain the situation to other employees. This was the most uncomfortable environment I have ever worked in. I know they do internships for UNCW and I honestly feel that they are not a suitable business to give internships. They mistreat the interns and a lot of them never end up completing their internships because of bad treatment. I could go on about all of the inappropriate things that have occurred here. New hires that come in for training are talked down upon when they don't pick up as quick as upper management would like. Sometimes they fire them after a day. The training for this job should be at least 2 weeks as it is extensive. Giving someone 2 or 3 days to learn everything is unbelievable. They expect everyone to work on their own after 2 or 3 days of training and if they can't pick it up by then they don't call them to come back. My advice to anyone going in for an interview..don't.
