Pros

Wide range of clients to work with and gain experiences from. Work life balance is fair, ability to work from home. Staff/seniors are provided opportunities to work directly and communicate with clients. Potential to be a good firm with the right people.

Cons

Realization is a primary focus so learning opportunities are often missed. Services provided to clients are different from my experience at traditional accounting firms. Example: most staff/seniors/managers are providing advice to clients on how to invest in real estate or start a business without actual experience in those activities. Managers lack experience, technical expertise or desire to develop tax staff/seniors. High turnover among staff/seniors, culture is disrupted by loss of good people.

Pros

A nice $50 DoorDash gift card during busy season, when you are working 2 weeks of time in one week. (yes this is sarcasm)

Cons

They had a bonus structure in prior years that made employees leave a review on Glassdoor or Linkedin. So be careful reading these comments, as most the positive comments are from the "bonus" period in past. You can clearly see not many positive reviews since then. The Cons: Communication with clients is at a level I have never seen. It is so bad, it makes you laugh. The software is also a joke, 45 minutes to sign off a binder. Literally 1-3 minutes to sign off as preparer on every single document... No IT person, just Laurie, Yet Realization is a main factor in bonuses. Avoid at all cost.
