Temporary stint.

Pros

I was with the company as a temporary staff . Job is fairly easy to do - B2B telemarketing to generate leads for project managers. I was lucky and managed to hit the min goal set (generate 1 lead a day) so I didn't get much pressure from project managers to hit goal. Middle management - the project Managers are friendly and easy to work with. The stint worked out alright for me as I was only there for a short period so I didn't engage with higher management. Paid by the hour - so I didn't have to work outside of the office working hours (9am-6pm) If you are doing a temp job, this job would be alright as it a routine and monotonous job just to kill the time and earn cash.

Cons

For a temporary job, I had an unusually long notice period which was 2 weeks (MOM standard's is 1 working day). I had to stay on a longer period than i wanted just to clear the notice. Nothing much to learn for telemarketers. Just make calls every minute. Could tell that middle management (Business Development Executives etc.) were overworked, received little recognition, and had to met unreasonable demands from upper management.

Pros

None - except that I no longer work for them.

Cons

Lack of organisation. Lack of knowledge. Lack of communication. Lack of relevant, viable or trustworthy data. Lack of management experience. Lack of understanding of how to deal with people. Lack of technology. Lack of care about employees, Lack of understanding of how to gather data. Lack of understanding in how to create scripts for callers. Lack of honesty with clients. Lack of honesty with employees. This company should be avoided at all costs, by potential employees, but in particular no business should ever employee them, you are paying for misleading information, dishonesty and poorly managed data flow.
