      Pros

      Many opportunities to advance your career on both technology and/or managerial levels. Opportunity to work on a vast range of technologies with cross training available under the self directed training programme. Opportunities to help steer the direction of your team & practice. Work with and learn from diverse employees who are located across the globe.

      Cons

      As with all remote work jobs you have the normal “work from home” challenges though Pythian does strive for a balance and has several offices in Canada, USA, India & UK should employees want to spend time in the office.

      Pros

      I've been here for more than 6 years & have worked the majority of the technical roles in the company. They always have interesting projects & clients, and it's a great place to get a ton of experience across the whole board, or to deep-dive into one technology.

      Cons

      Sometimes management can be a hassle, and it does occasionally feel like they've made a decision on a direction only to change their minds a year later.

      Pros

      Great tools that facilitate remote working. The company possesses a big drive to advance technology, both as open-source community engagements, and to break ground on new technological discoveries. Everyone strives for excellence. The CEO is one of the most inspirational people I've ever met. They provide excellent benefits (including salary), and perks.

      Cons

      Working from home can make you feel detached from the team sometimes, but it's still better than having to commute every day.
