Pros

I began a Design internship back in 2019 with Relayto, straight out of University, I quickly found out what REAL work was and gained on the job working experience straight away:
 - Full office space in the centre on London, surrounded by other start ups to learn off and make connections [COVID Restrictions has now shut this down at the moment]
 - Worked with a great group of fellow Interns that I am still in contact with
 - On the job leanring from the whole team, I could always message a member of the team for help
 - No job was too small or big for anyone - The CEO would help when it was all hands on deck to hit our client deadlines
 - As an Intern I was entrusted on a large deal meeting to demo Relayto work individually with a large top 500 US pharmaceutical company who now we work closely with and have expanded further area of their company
 - Got a chance to have ago at all areas of the company, discovering an interested & strength in UX and client meetings / communications
 - PRE covid, we were all take out to free lunch buy the boss our of choosing for catch up
 - PRE covid, Work drinks on a Friday at the local was a great team builder and allowed us to get to know each other outside of the work environment Full time role: After interning for 3 months and staying on for a further 2 months to gain further experience I was offered a full time position at Relayto. - Freedom of location of work anywhere In the world [remote work] / office space pending on COVID-19
 - Enthusiastic team that are passionate about their work and friendly. Weekly catch up calls to get through the full time remote working
 - Honest working environment
 - Due to the small team I get to see a real difference in my contribution on a weekly basis
 - Exposure to work and collaborate with worldwide known brands
 - Bonuses for successful months, projects and positive client feedback
 - Pay increase year by year / Christmas bonuses
 - Our team takes time out each week, not scheduled but we are encouraged to just catch up and see how each other are doing. keeping a positive time through the somewhat lonely working from home environment

Cons

Internship: - Fast working environment may not be for everyone if they are not comfortable with jumping into a intern with full commitment
 - The culture was very straight to the point feedback to be efficient with our time as there was a lot of projects going on. Personally, I was used to this from my University feedbacks as my lecturer was blunt. I could see how some people would not find this favourable if they are not used to straight to the point feedback.
 - As a start-up, everyone is involved in every area at some point so if you are looking to gain experience only in one area specifically and are not open to helping out in user testing for example then it may not be for you.
 - It was a steep leanring curb to the working world, for me it went in a positive but some people may need a more guided step by step approach which this internship does not offer. Full time role: - If you are not ready to commit to occasional long hours / weekend work to make sure the clients work is complete this may not be for you. [Extra hours and weekends are paid]
