Pros

Exorbitant amount of time off and flexible, casual work environment.

Cons

I am a seasoned professional and have worked in various industries both corporate and non-profit and have never experienced a more toxic work environment. Unfortunately individuals are rewarded/promoted based upon factors other than performance (there are some exceptions) and this is dictated by senior leadership. Senior leadership micro manages and is not open to change in any way, shape or form. If you are looking for a positive environment where staff is motivated, collaborative and people are team oriented then RIMS is not the place for you. There are some really smart, great people within the organization that will continue to leave unless the senior leadership makes some major changes regarding their management style and radically revises the culture. Not everyone is treated equally or held to the same standards and nepotism runs rampant.

Toxic Environment

Pros

Remote work, flexible schedules, time off between Christmas and New Years

Cons

A very toxic place to work with adults acting like children. I have never seen more immature behavior than I saw from the senior management while working here. A lot of the bad behavior is led by the c suite who are rigid, inflexible, and have antiquated ideas on how a business should be run. The VPs here are hostile towards their employees and mock them behind their back. Promotions are only given to those who play the sad popularity game here. Anyone new who comes in with good ideas is quickly shut down by employees who have been coasting for 15+ years and refuse to make any changes because they're incredibly lazy. Pay is absolutely abysmal for everyone at the manager or below level - especially for NYC. While the VPS and above are paid extremely well and constantly brag about their vacations and second homes while most are struggling to stay afloat. With remote work, substance abuse also runs wild here. Stay away.
