Pros

RLF is a quality PR Agency with many other strengths! The staff is talented and collaborative, and the CEO and Founder, Monty Hagler, is one of the best leaders I've worked for. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there found the benefits and salary to be very competitive with others in Greensboro. Monty, a family man himself, is very supportive of working parents and offers flexible work schedules.

Cons

I can't think of many cons of working at RLF. One benefit that could be improved is to add a matching 401K program.

Pros

As an intern and communications specialist I was given a lot of responsibility. My supervisors made everything a learning experience and allowed me to take on important projects. Interesting clients and a wide range of services are offered. The culture is great; the people are so incredibly friendly.

Cons

Nothing I can really think of... It's a very small office, less than 10 employees not including interns, so if you're interested in a larger company that would be a con. That wasn't an issue for me, though.

Pros

The entire RLF staff is extremely kind, encouraging and passionate about what they do. It's an especially great environment for interns and entry-level employees. Everyone goes out of their way to help build up your skills and develop you as a professional. Unlike with some PR firms, RLF has a diverse client base ranging from financial services to tourism to restaurants. Management is very willing to put you on accounts in the industries that interest you most. Work-life balance is also great - this isn't a place where you'll be sleeping at the office. There are occasionally longer hours during client crises, but that's to be expected in PR. It's also a very social environment. There are regular office outings to baseball games, etc, and they do a little celebration for every employee's birthday.

Cons

This isn't a con for everyone, but it is a small firm. Consequently, some of the clients are a bit smaller, so media relations can be a steeper slope to climb on these accounts.
