Pros

Staring salary is decent, with raises in the first 6-9 months of employment. 2 decent bonuses per year.

Cons

Owner is a negatively passionate man with some MAJOR anger management issues. Nepotism galore! Everyone must strictly wear business attire (Ties, etc) except for relatives (brother, wife, son, daughter, brother-in-law, best friend, nephew, other close friends and extended family). No tolerance for flexibility for work hours. Very poor communication. Jayme (the owner) is the main sales person and vocalizes being a strong Christian, yet he is derogative, cursing (F-bombs galore) and also using the Lords name in vain. Very much a hypocrite. He is a bad manager (a micro-manager), bad money manager, and has gotten himself and the company into a great deal of financial struggle. This company is definitely a sinking ship—sooner rather than later. Lots of tunnel vision—it’s very obvious that they (owners) are only concerned about “status” and how their outward appearance is for customers—i.e. flat screen TV’s in every room at the new building, buying and completely remodeling a huge warehouse/building that was clearly overspent on, 2 huge/high-end theatre rooms, and a fancy “executive bathroom with 6+ stalls to only be used by the owner. They are currently laying people off—in a very erratic, and unethical manner. There’s no “heads up” about layoffs—no information received about why, how many, the plans for the future of the company, etc. When they lay you off, they walk you out the back door and refuse to pay your earned vacation. No raises, no evaluations. We are chained to our desks, all employees (60+) are made to use one nasty bathroom (cleaned once a week and this bathroom has only 2 stalls, and 2 urinals for employees to use) while family/owner uses one very nice huge bathroom. There is at least one thief working here and employees don't even know each other (they combined several other buildings into this one building when they moved in January). There’s constant fear of firing/ losing our jobs to layoff. We are not allowed to eat or drink at our desks or wear our outside shoes inside the office (for fear of dirtying the carpet). However, there are different standards for family- they wear muddy boots, piercings, t-shirts, etc. This place definitely has NO morale, and every day is working in constant fear of being verbally/emotionally abused by the owner/micro-manager (Jayme). Not a good place to work! Run!

Pros

- *Free parking* - "Some" good people working here

Cons

- Be prepared to work plenty of overtime, but don't be a minute late. HR, who happens to also be the owner's wife, sits at the entry and keeps a close eye on those who arrive even one minute late, and will promptly reprimand anyone who breaks this rule by way of sternly worded emails. - Work / Life balance and flexibility is non-existent. Once hired at Red Leonard, you are expected to put work above everything else. - No respect shown to employees: Be prepared to be openly ridiculed at the owner's whim in front of your coworkers. - Low Salary / Benefits: No vacation until you've been there for 1 full year. No 401k employer match. - Toxic environment, low morale. - The nepotism is strong with this company. - Dress code: you are required to wear a button-up shirt and tie everyday.
