Pros

Benefits. The benefits package is WONDERFUL. Best benefits I ever had. While working there, I met within my peers some really good people that I have maintained long-term friendships with.

Cons

I was told by a VP that he didn't have time to address my concerns, that he had a company to run. Profit oriented. This company does NOT care about it's employees. There is no recognition or appreciation for hard work, accuracy, dedication to your job, or work ethic. This is a numbers driven company that only cares about the bottom line. People are treated with a lack of respect and a "replaceable" mentality. It doesn't matter how long you have worked for this company. Your pay is the lowest in the industry. There are no pay raises based on performance. You only get cost of living raises that do not keep up with inflation or the economy. There is a VERY high turnover rate due to how this company treats its employees. The less people there are, the more work that is given to you to do. Particularly if you are good at what you do. Your compensation remains the same. Better to remain seen as incompetent. They will actually give you less to do and the same pay as everyone else doing your job. I worked for this company for 10 years in the corporate headquarters. The highest turnover rate in management I have ever witnessed. I had 7 different managers in the 10 years I worked there. Management was very high stress, unreasonable expectations, and basically a mouthpiece for the VP that ran that department. The lower level positions at the company were high stress as well. You operated under a daily scare-tactic management style that left you wondering if you would have your job from one day to the next. I don't say that lightly. I was a star at what I did there. Decisions are not necessarily based on what is good for the company, but at the whim of a VP's personal vendetta. There is very little organization, focus, or communication within the company infrastructure. I would be VERY careful and contemplative about working for this company. Please beware.

Pros

Cant think of any. Which is crazy. 3yrs removed now and I couldn’t be happier. I guess that’s the pro here!

Cons

The management team in Portland, OR is terrible. They are ruthless and don’t care about anyone but themselves. Honestly, management is the single biggest reason I left. Constant harassment! The hiring was sub par. The pay was not worth the output expected. Constantly worked short handed for years while failed expectations put in place by a failing management team were met with threats by management. Management created and tried to maintain a hostile and vile work environment. The teamster brothers I made there were really the only reason I kept up for so long.

Pros

No matter what you do, within reason, you will not be fired. Missed days, forgotten stops miss a pick up put stop on wrong trailer. They dont care. Home on weekends. Union brothers

Cons

Half our day is in the dock. If your a driver bring your work gloves. No pallet jacks or any equipment sent out with you. Management sits in there office and does Notting. The dispatchers are even worse. Run as fast as you can. Don't apply here.
